About Our Time Zone Converter & World Clock
Our mission is simple: make time zone math effortless, accurate, and fast. People schedule meetings across continents, coordinate travel, and keep in touch with friends and family around the world. The smallest mismatch in time zones can cause missed calls, late arrivals, or confusion. This site was built to eliminate that friction.
Unlike many tools, this converter runs entirely in your browser. It uses the built‑in Internationalization API (Intl.DateTimeFormat) that ships with modern browsers and references the IANA time zone database. That means conversions are performed locally on your device, with no external API calls, and they automatically respect daylight saving transitions and historical changes in timekeeping rules. If a city switches to a new offset next year, the database is updated by your browser vendor and the tool reflects the change seamlessly.
We designed the interface for speed: choose your “From” zone, your “To” zone, pick a date and time, and you get an instant answer. You can also use the World Clock below to set either zone with a single click. The planner view shows 24 hours of overlap and highlights working‑hour windows so you can quickly spot humane meeting times.
Accuracy is our north star. When you select a local date and time, the site interprets that selection as “wall time” in the chosen source zone. It then resolves the exact UTC instant for that wall time and maps it to the destination zone. This approach correctly handles ambiguous or skipped times around DST transitions. For example, when clocks fall back and an hour repeats, the algorithm safely locks onto the intended instant; when clocks spring forward and a local time never occurs, the interface prevents invalid selections.
Privacy matters just as much. Because conversions happen on your device, your inputs never leave your browser. We do run advertising to keep the site free and sustainable. You can learn how ads and cookies are handled in our Privacy Policy.
Reliability is our promise. The tool continues to work even with spotty connectivity because calculations don’t depend on reaching a server. If your browser is open, it will compute. We also keep the site lightweight so it loads quickly on mobile data connections.
Who uses this site? Remote teams scheduling across time zones, freelancers working with international clients, students taking live classes, streamers planning global events, travelers tracking departures and arrivals, and anyone who wants to avoid the “Is that my Tuesday or your Wednesday?” dance.
We are continuously improving the experience: clearer labels, better accessibility, smarter defaults, and content that helps beginners understand how time zones work.
